The work consist of video- and painted documentation of the audio performance by Ivan Svitlychnyi and the Sviter Art Group held in Wrocław at the Degree of Dependence show in 2015. Documentation was created a year after the performance, offering a subjective interpretation of the events. The work explores the lines that either define it as a document or disqualify it as such. The video part of the documentation is a 3D model of the Awangarda BWA Gallery, which hosted the exhibition and the performance. Each surface of the model is overlaid with video recordings of the performance itself, with the suitable soundtrack. Therefore, the work that had temporal duration and unfolded consecutively in different exhibition halls is read in a different regime in the documents.
The painted documents map my interpretation of the performance. The images are informed by the non-recognition and confusion I felt when I first saw photos from the performance in the social media, and didn’t recognize the artists. I was fascinated by the distance resulting from this alienation, and the scenarios for transferring the event unfolding in time and space onto a two-dimensional plane. Painting did become a document, but, much like any document, it surrendered to the real event.

Робота складається з відео- та живописної документації аудіо-перформансу Івана Світличного та Sviter art-group, що відбувся у Вроцлаві, в рамках виставки Ступінь залежності в 2015 році. Дкументація створена через рік після перформансу та являє собою суб’єктивну інтерпретацію події. Робота досліджує межі в яких медіа стає документом, або перестає ним бути. Частина документації, що складається з відео-проекції, є 3D моделлю простору галереї Awangarda BWA, де відбувалась виставка та перформанс. На поверхню кожної частини моделі накладається відеозапис самого перформансу та відповідний звук. Таким чином, робота, що була розтягнута в часі та відбувалась послідовно в різних залах виставки, на документації прочитуєтся в іншому режимі.
Живописна частина документації - моя інтерпретація перформансу, де я будувала зображення, опираючись на невпізнання та плутанину, що виникла у мене, коли я вперше побачила фото з перформансу у соцменежах та не впізнала авторів. Мене зацікавила дистанція, що виникла через таку відстороненість та можливість перенести подію, що розгорталась в часі та просторі, на двовимірну площину. Живопис стає документом, але при цьому, як і будь-який документ, капітулює перед реальною подією.
