Lesia Khomenko

It’s my husband Max Robotov, artist and musician. He is in the army now. It’s my first work after full invasion and my escape from Kyiv. I don’t have possibility to see him every day. We can’t make any video-calls since he’s got to the army. I was curious how he has changed being a lieutenant. Once he sent me a photo where he was saluting in the front of the dark and unclear background. He was in the casual outfit as the most of the soldiers at the beginning of the full-scale war. Through this image I’ve got my personal experience of the war. The idea of the work is to reflect the merger of the civil society and the army.
